OG RENURE: production of manure-derived Ammonium salts via stripping and scrubbing

Ammonium salts from manure stripping-scrubbing support sustainable fertilizer use in Flanders

or

Detail description

RENURE develops and evaluates on-farm stripping-scrubbing technology to recover ammonium salts from manure, enabling their use as sustainable fertilisers compliant with the RENURE criteria and the Nitrates Directive. The project, led by Inagro vzw in Flanders, Belgium, from 2021 to 2023, supports the transition to circular agriculture through field trials, optimisation tools (infofert), and economic assessments. It aims to enhance the agronomic and economic viability of ammonium salt production across diverse farm types.
