Mapping the suitability of different species; assessing the potential of the main forest products for different biogeographical regions

The aim of this report is to detail the procedures and results obtained during the implementation of one of the project’s milestones. This activity aims to model, on a large scale, the ecological suitability of the various study areas for the establishment of seven tree taxa (Pinus pinaster ssp. atlantica, Pinus pinaster ssp. mesogeensis, Pinus halepensis, Pinus pinea, Castanea sativa, Eucalyptus globulus and Populus x euramericana) of interest from both an economic and ecological perspective.
