Detail description
Germination testing for cauliflower and broccoli seed lots assesses quality using a simple method: 150 seeds divided into three groups of 50, placed on moistened filter paper in aluminum trays, incubated at 20°C in the dark. Germination is evaluated daily for 12 days, with percentage calculated based on seedlings formed. Minimum germination rates are 70% for cauliflower and 75% for broccoli per EU Directive 2002/55/EC.
