Reduction of odours and greenhouse gas emissions from pig and poultry manure lagoons through a floating modular cover system. Project 8, ODO Control, develops, tests, and optimises a technical solution compliant with EU BAT standards under Directive 2010/75/EU. Funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, the 24-month initiative involves Arana Water Management S.L., Arada Ingeniería S.L., Juan Jiménez García S.A.U., and the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT) through the GARSA research group. The system provides an effective, real-world alternative for sustainable intensive farming.
