Kleurkeur Webinar deel 2: Ecologisch maaien: watergangen vol leven!

Nederland kent 330.000 kilometer aan sloten en 6500 kilometer aan vaarten en kanalen. Een fors areaal, dat niet alleen door mensen wordt gebruikt, maar ook het leefgebied vormt van talloze plant- en diersoorten. En dat brengt uitdagingen met zich mee. Hoe beheer je watergangen zo dat ook biodiversiteit er baat bij heeft? Dit komt aan bod in deze tweede sessie van de webinarserie van de Vlinderstichting over ecologisch beheer.  In het tweede webinar van deze reeks gaan we in op wat ecologisch beheer voor watergangen betekent. Welke ecologische processen spelen zich af in een watergang? Hoe pak je ecologisch beheer van watergangen aan?   Sprekers : Amber van Amsterdam (Vlinderstichting), Cato van Houten (Vlinderstichting), Bram Geers (ecoloog), Manon Wieringa (Vlinderstichting).

The BIOEAST Initiative was founded by the Ministers of Agriculture of Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania and Slovenia. The BIOEAST Initiative represents the common political commitment and shared strategic research and innovation framework for working towards sustainable and circular bioeconomies in the CEE countries.

Club GREY HORSE – Providing multiple ecosystems services by forest renters

This case study is drafting new legislation that allows renting forestland for multiple purposes in order to increase economic efficiency and maintain a balance between all ecosystem services. This Russian case works on regulation mechanisms so that people renting forestland can use it for multiple purposes, and to include ecosystem services in the Forest Code.
