Enhancing water and agronomic sustainability in cereal-growing basins through EU-funded innovation

Detail description

Cereal-Agua is a supra-regional operational group enhancing water and agronomic sustainability in cereal-growing basins. Funded by the EAFRD with 80% EU co-financing, it improves profitability, efficiency, sustainability, and social integration in cereal farming. The Duero River Basin Council coordinates a live integrated project under the same call, benefiting from Cereal-Agua’s results. The initiative supports groundwater management in agricultural areas, promoting an economically viable, productive, and environmentally integrated model. Tools and outcomes from Cereal-Agua are directly transferable to the live project.
