Plant pathogens threaten global food security. The EU-funded MICROBIS project investigates how abiotic stress primes plant immunity by analyzing metabolome changes in Arabidopsis under sequential stress. Using metabolomics and AI, it identifies stress-responsive metabolic pathways to inform breeding of resilient crops. Findings support sustainable agriculture and EU 2025 food security goals, with data updated July 2024.
