Vaccinating sheep against Clostridia and Pasteurella

Vaccinate sheep against Clostridia and Pasteurella to prevent sudden death from severe bacterial diseases such as enterotoxaemia, blackleg, pneumonia, and lamb dysentery. Administer vaccines to ewes 2–8 weeks before lambing to boost colostrum antibodies, and vaccinate lambs at 3 weeks with a booster 4–6 weeks later, followed by annual boosters. Ensure lambs receive high-quality colostrum within 2 hours of birth for passive immunity. Use only healthy animals, follow proper storage and handling, and administer subcutaneously in the neck. This protocol significantly reduces mortality and is essential for flock health.
