Detail description

trans4num is a Horizon Europe project advancing Nature-Based Solutions for sustainable nutrient management in extensive agriculture. This factsheet details progress at UK test sites: North Wyke (Devon), Harpenden (Hertfordshire), and Brooms Barn (Suffolk). Drought and excessive rainfall impacted spring and winter crop trials at North Wyke, leading to poor yields and plot abandonment. Wet conditions caused winter wheat failure at Harpenden, while spring wheat struggled due to saturated soils. Brooms Barn’s sandy loam soil supported better wheat performance. Oilseed rape harvest is expected at Harpenden and Brooms Barn. Further details at http://trans4num.eu.
