The BroilerNet project collects promising and successfully implemented Good Practices to meet sector challenges.
Using manure in biogas plants can give value to waste and reduce farm GHG emissions. Transferring manure into a biogas plant instead of spreading directly for agronomic use reduces nitrous oxide emissions while producing heat, electricity and biological fertilizers that can replace mineral fertilizers.
