Varroafom project develops a natural, controlled-release formulation to prevent and treat Varroosis in Apis mellifera honeybees. Funded by Spain's EIP-AGRI with €379,920.30, the project ran from March 2019 to July 2021 across Castile and León, Castile-La Mancha, Galicia, and the Canary Islands. Led by FEUGA, USC, ULPGC, and key apiculturists, with collaboration from APIGRANCA, ADS Apicultores de La Palma, and AEA. The initiative focuses on sustainable beekeeping solutions using natural-origin products.
