La sanidad vegetal garantiza la seguridad alimentaria
Innovative projects ensure phytosanitary security for Spain's expanding pistachio industry
or
Detail description
2020 is the International Year of Plant Health. Nearly 40% of global food crops are lost annually to pests and diseases, exacerbated by climate change and globalization, which spread knowledge, goods, and pathogens equally. In Spain, innovative projects and operational groups are developing pest- and disease-free seeds and plants to ensure food security, promote economic development, and protect the environment. Acrosternum species are pests of pistachios, a crop expanding in Spain.
