trans4num UK NBS site: nutrient management solutions

Sustainable nutrient management through nature-based solutions in UK agriculture

or

Detail description

trans4num is a Horizon Europe project advancing nature-based solutions for sustainable nutrient management in agriculture. In the UK, the project tests crop rotations with cover crops and green manure, improved phosphorus use from farm manure, and recycled fertilisers from abattoir by-products. Research is conducted at Rothamsted Research’s Large Scale Rotation Experiment, the world’s longest-running field study. Findings from trials and videos by experts Jonathan Storkey, Ian Shield, Martin Blackwell, and Robert Dunn highlight innovations in sustainable phosphorus supply. The project is funded under the EU’s Zero Pollution initiative, fostering EU-China collaboration to scale NBS in agriculture.
