Smart Ag Services: Precision Agriculture for Andalusian Cooperatives

Smart Ag Services is a 2018 innovation project funded by the PDR Andalucía, led by GDR Campiña y Alcores de Sevilla. It enhances precision agriculture in Andalusian farming associations through wireless sensors, multispectral and thermal drone imagery, Big Data, and AI algorithms. The project targets wheat, maize, and citrus crops, aiming to optimize irrigation and fertilization, reduce water consumption and nitrate pollution, and improve crop quality and food safety. By integrating real-time environmental and soil data, it enables data-driven decisions to cut production costs and support sustainable farming.
