Improve water management through European knowledge exchange

Improving water and fertigation management through European knowledge exchange and sustainable technology transfer

or

Detail description

The FERTINNOWA project, launched in 2016 with 24 partners across Europe and South Africa, enhances sustainable water and fertigation management through technical knowledge exchange. It identifies regional differences in water sources, quality issues, and storage methods, and addresses challenges like clogging and technology adoption barriers. The project supports innovation with cross-regional technology transfers—such as UV systems, biofiltration, nitrogen extraction, self-cleaning filters, and rainwater storage—alongside a guide featuring 125 technologies. A final conference was held in Almería, and findings are accessible via the project website.
