trans4num Hungarian NBS Site for Sustainable Nutrient Management

trans4num is a Horizon Europe-funded project advancing nature-based solutions (NBS) for sustainable nutrient management in agriculture. This factsheet highlights the Hungarian NBS site in the Szétkezö region, a major alluvial plain in Europe. The site conducts replicated experiments comparing NBS innovations with conventional farming to reduce environmental impacts and support policy integration. Research focuses on landscape formation, regional agricultural practices, and scalable NBS pathways. Findings aim to inform national and local policies, contributing to a socio-ecological transformation of extensive farming systems.
