MOVING Project - Resilience and vulnerability in dairy production in central Italy

MOVING was an EU Horizon 2020 project supporting resilience and sustainability in European mountain regions through participatory policy development. Focused on the pasta filata cheese value chain in the Alto Molise region, it addresses challenges like rural depopulation, climate risks, and market volatility. The project promotes integrated strategies including dual-purpose breeds, direct milk processing, agri-tourism, and digital tools. It identifies key resilience practices and aims to deliver policy guidelines for 2050, enhancing economic and environmental sustainability in central and southern Italy.
