In cereal-legume systems, legumes boost protein content; cereals show tillering and weed suppression. For central Europe, start with 80% sole crop rate for legumes and 40% for cereals. Site-specific OSD should be developed through small-scale trials (10 m × 100 m), repeated over years, with input from farmers and advisors. Seed depth and mixture uniformity are critical.
