Access to Clear Information for Small Farmers

The AgriLink Living Lab in Romania supported a cooperative of 100 small-scale vegetable farmers in Vârăști Commune to improve fiscal compliance and income management. Focused on timely annual tax declaration, a financial expert developed a practical step-by-step guide. Two training sessions, each with 50 farmers, delivered the guide and collected feedback. By March 2019, 80 farmers submitted declarations on time, securing their contract with Carrefour. This boosted incomes, professionalism, and livelihoods. The model is now being explored for adaptation to livestock farming and other cooperatives via the CoopNET network.
