Adaptation and Implementation of the Long-Term Humic Balance Calculation Model AMG in a Wide Range of Arable Crop and Crop-Livestock Systems

This paper presents the adaptation and implementation of the AMG model to predict long-term changes in soil organic carbon stocks across diverse arable and crop-livestock systems in France.

Descrição detalhada

This study expanded the application domain of the INRA-developed AMG model by assembling a comprehensive database from long-term field trials under varied pedoclimatic and management contexts. A dedicated C++ calculation engine, "AMG-Recherche", was interfaced with this database to support model parameterization. The authors evaluated the model’s predictive accuracy through statistical error modeling, updated key parameters such as root coefficients and isohumic coefficients for organic residues, and produced a methodological synthesis document to guide AMG implementation in different agronomic scenarios.
