Koeien vers gras voeren, er zijn verschillende beweegredenen waarom melkveehouders hiervoor kiezen. De ene doet het bijvoorbeeld om te besparen op loonwerkkosten en de ander juist om meer eiwit van eigen land te halen. De familie Nillesen uit Groesbeek (Gld.) doet nu drie jaar aan zomerstalvoeren.
