Factsheet 2 Houtwal 2.0: Klimaatmitigatie en luchtzuivering: Herwaardering van multifunctionele beplantingen in de melkveehouderij
In een veranderend klimaat met hogere temperaturen en andere neerslagpatronen is het van belang bomen en struiken aan te planten die klimaatbestendig zijn: droogtetolerant en floreren bij 1,5°C temperatuurstijging. Daarnaast is het wenselijk dat ze bijdragen aan het zuiveren van de lucht, het verminderen van klimaatverandering (mitigeren: koolstofvastlegging) en het dempen van temperatuurextremen.
