This study synthesizes recent international scientific literature to assess the effects of urban vegetation on quality of life and human health. Drawing mainly on systematic reviews, it examines impacts on physical health, psychological well-being, stress reduction, air quality, noise attenuation, thermal comfort, social connectivity, and housing prices. The review evaluates the robustness of scientific evidence, identifies key parameters for characterizing ecosystem services of urban greenery, and presents illustrative examples. Its findings offer urban planners and landscape professionals targeted indicators to integrate green infrastructure into city development for enhanced public health and well-being.
