Medium-Intensity PG in Favourable Climate, Mostly Grazed (MF_G)
This permanent grassland type is managed at medium intensity, and herbage is mostly harvested by grazing rather than cutting. It is found in regions where grass growth is not limited by long winters or extended summer drought and is most frequent in the Atlantic, western Continental and central Mediterranean biogeographic regions. It often occurs at sites with obstacles to further intensification, such as very shallow or wet soils, steep slopes or a great distance from the farm.

NANOCELLULOSE MEMBRANES FOR NUTRIENT RECOVERY
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under Grant Agreement No 858735This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under Grant Agreement No 858735. FACTSHEET NANOCELLULOSE MEMBRANES FOR NUTRIENT RECOVERY Key information Functionalized nanocellulose membranes can take up nitrate and phosphate. These membranes can be put in a water treatment unit. As the membranes are biobased, degradable materials, they can after use be added to the soil, thus returning the leached nutrients back for their original purpose providing fertilizers (nutrient recycling).
