Smart mycological park project to promote an inclusive and sustainable rural development through TICs in the management, regulation and commercializat

About project

Aistrithe ag IS

The operational group, made up of five enterprises in the fields of food technology, marketing, legal consultancy and social cooperatives, needed to develop a series of technological tools to support the entire process of collecting wild mushrooms, from harvesting through to subsequent batch classification and labelling to ensure traceability. In the harvesting section, it was essential to guarantee information on when, where and by whom the mushrooms were collected, while also taking into account that many of the tool's users would belong to social groups at risk of social exclusion, integrated within the operational group. To ensure traceability all the way to the end customer, collection centres (distribution companies, public markets, etc.) needed to have technology enabling them to classify products into batches with appropriate identifying labels. Finally, and as an indirect objective, it was also important to understand the production situation in different areas through geographical information systems (GIS) analyses to assess various parameters and optimise the use of cultivation parks.
