GRUPO OPERATIV ESJARA ISjara is an operational group seeking to use essential oil from the ladanifer and laurel-leaved rockrose for the development of the rural bioeconomy. The overall objective of this project is to develop the value chain for the utilisation of rockrose (Cistus ladanifer and Cistus laurifolius) to produce essential oils, while adding value to the waste and by-products. The project is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and FEADER. The ESjara consortium comprises the Foundation for Services and Promotion of Forest and Forestry Industry in Castile and León (CESEFOR), acting as coordinator, the Centre for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research (CIEMAT), Agresta S. Coop, Biolandes Andalucia S.A, El Jarpil S.L, the Federation of Forest Associations of Castile and León (FAFCYLE), and ROOTECO AGRICULTURE S.L
