Description détaillée

The study reports the design and implementation of IdeAle, a secure web-based database that supports collaborative management of SSR marker profiles for potato seed certification. It integrates data from five French laboratories, storing genetic fingerprints of 939 cultivars and 342 hybrids using 30 SSR markers, representing 551 alleles. The platform ensures encrypted data exchange and professional hosting. Since deployment, 1483 profiles have been published, and analysis of INRA’s collection added 10 novel alleles. The system’s marker transferability across different genotyping platforms was evaluated to ensure interoperability.
