Description détaillée

This policy brief presents the ClieNFarms approach for supporting farmers, advisors and policy makers in selecting climate mitigation solutions adapted to specific farming contexts.

The project identified and assessed 33 climate solutions for greenhouse gas reduction and carbon sequestration across different European farming systems. Solutions were evaluated according to their applicability, climate impact, variability of results, cost-effectiveness and potential trade-offs or synergies with other sustainability objectives.

Findings show that adoption depends strongly on farmer knowledge, advisory support and financial feasibility. The brief highlights the importance of tailored advisory services, peer learning, demonstration activities and funding mechanisms that support the implementation of effective climate solutions while strengthening farm resilience and long-term sustainability.
