Kalveren melk aanbieden via de speen met behulp van een speenemmer of milkbar
Traditioneel worden veel kalveren gevoerd met melk in emmers. Het aanbieden van melk aan kalveren via een speen, speenemmer of milkbars (in plaats van emmers of troggen) stimuleert de zuigreflex en kan de ontwikkeling van cross-sucking voorkomen.
