FerticoopGO: fertilització més sostenible amb reducció d'emissions

FerticoopGO is a four-year pilot project coordinated by the Federació de Cooperatives Agràries de Catalunya (FCAC) to improve sustainable livestock manure management and agricultural fertilization. It achieved a 50% reduction in ammonia emissions and greenhouse gas emissions through innovative practices, including dry spreading of manure, coverings for storage pits, and optimized nitrogen application. The project, involving Catalan cooperatives and IRTA, developed the digital tool Agrofaser for precision fertilization. FerticoopGO was selected as a model study site in the European NUTRiKNOW project, promoting soil conservation, reduced external input dependency, and higher crop yields through short-cycle summer crops and efficient nutrient use.
