Detail description

Based on the concept of tree architecture, the authors introduce four diagnostic tools to assess tree health and reactivity to environmental stress. The ontogenetic diagnosis tool determines the tree’s developmental stage. Architectural marker checklists provide standardized criteria to describe tree structure and vitality. The ARCHI identification keys enable prognosis of short-term dieback in symptomatic trees. The upcoming DiagArchi application will offer an interactive, educational interface and automate diagnostic outputs. These complementary tools are designed to support forest managers and professionals in decision-making and intervention during episodes of tree decline.
