Operational Group GESVAC 4.0 – Phase 2 Holds First Monitoring Meeting of the Second Implementation Period

On July 8, 2025, the Operational Group GESVAC 4.0 – Phase 2 held its first monitoring meeting of the second implementation period at the Spanish Federation of Limousin Breeders facilities in Salamanca, with remote attendance available. The meeting focused on reviewing and organizing technical and dissemination activities, including development of new information sources for suckler cows and alerts for unproductive animals; integration of production and slaughterhouse data from partner associations; continuation of in vivo meat quality evaluations on pure breeds and at the COBADU experimental farm; and determination of individual biogenic emissions of purebred and crossbred cattle. The project is funded by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture and FEADER under the AEI-AGRI initiative.
