Detail description

This newsletter, Issue #8 of AQUACOMBINE POST, presents highlights from the final AQUACOMBINE conference in Esbjerg, Denmark. The consortium shared project findings through four panel sessions covering indoor and outdoor halophyte cultivation, biorefinery processes for halophyte biomass valorization, aquaculture trials evaluating halophyte-based functional feeds, and discussions on product and process potential. Attendees visited demonstration facilities at Aalborg University and Alpha Aqua, engaged with speakers during Q&A sessions, and reviewed project posters. The issue also introduces a free web application that provides feeding rate recommendations for European seabass and whiteleg shrimp based on Salicornia-based aquafeeds. All results are available on the AQUACOMBINE website.
