EID tags & EID-enabled weigh crate
EID tags & EID-enabled weigh crate summary allows the farmer to get an insight into how individual animal data can be collected and how groups of animals can be drafted (manually or automatically).
Detail description
EID tags and EID weigh crate are one of the solutions that can be used to help determine the weight of a lamb.
Some of the issues faced by farmers are to do with lamb weighing (inside/outside); sorting and moving animals, drafting fat lambs for selling and timely weaning. Most of these issues can be helped with the use of electronic EID tags and EID-enabled weigh crate.
The aim of this tool is to collect individual animal data and draft groups of animals (manually or automatically). When the animals go through the crate, and in front of an RFID antenna, they are identified via their EID tag/bolus. If the crate has an auto-shedder, the sheep can also be sorted automatically.
