Medical rehabilitation for Polish farmers
Medical rehabilitation for farmers is aimed at restoring the ability to work on a farm for individuals eligible for benefits under the farmers' social insurance system. It is run by the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS) as part of its statutory mandate.
Detail description
The KRUS Farmers’ Rehabilitation Centres provide modern treatment for musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and respiratory diseases, often using natural resources like mineral waters or seaside climate. Rehabilitation includes a 21-day inpatient stay with full board and 64 personalized treatments (about four daily). They also organize summer programs for farmers’ children, focused mainly on musculoskeletal and respiratory conditions, combining therapy with medical care, supervision, and educational and recreational activities.
