Control of Summer Fruit Tortrix with Pheromone Disruption

Pheromone disruption and biological control for effective leafroller management in apple and pear orchards

or

Detail description

Integrated pest management for summer fruit tortrix in apple and pear orchards uses Isomate pheromone dispensers at 800–1000 per hectare, placed 3.5 m × 3.5 m in a grid high in the canopy, with edge treatments for wind protection. Bacillus thuringiensis applied during flowering controls non-target species like Hedya nubiferana and Spilonota ocellana. Capex 2 granulovirus enhances suppression in high infestation areas. Spring monitoring guides additional treatments. The method reduces fruit damage, improves yield and storability.
