Use of Carpovirusine to Manage Codling Moth in Organic Pomme Fruit

CpGV-based pest management for organic apple and pear production with resistance mitigation strategies

or

Detail description

CpGV-based biological control for codling moth in organic apple and pear farming requires integrated resistance management. Use Madex Max/Carpovirusine Evo2 for low-risk scenarios; Madex Top for high infestation or reduced efficacy; ABC V14 for confirmed resistance after JKI-Institute testing. Apply from late May at 100ml/ha minimum, adjusting for tree height, weather, and generation cycles (1–3/year). Combine with pheromone traps, confusion, nematodes, and hygiene. Avoid prolonged low-dose Madex Top use. For >1% infestation, remove fruits manually and apply nematodes in autumn.
