Farm health and safety governance in Romania faces challenges due to underreported fatalities and fragmented legislation. This technical note evaluates FHS frameworks using a four-step methodology across 11 EU countries, identifying key actors and gaps in coordination. It highlights the role of the Ministry of Labour and Ministry of Health, calls for improved legislation covering small and informal farmers, and recommends targeted training, clearer communication, and stronger policy dialogue to enhance social sustainability in agriculture.
