Slovakia - SafeHabitus CoP for Farm Safety and Health
Supporting socially sustainable farming transitions in Slovakia through farm health and safety innovation
or
Detail description
The SafeHabitus Community of Practice in Slovakia, led by the Bioeconomy Cluster in Nitra, strengthens farm health and safety knowledge systems from 2023 to 2026. It addresses the 18% higher farm accident rate and underreporting through inclusive practices, awareness campaigns, capacity building, and integration of safety modules into advisory services. The CoP unites farmers, policymakers, researchers, and institutions to improve occupational health compliance, prevent risks like machinery accidents and wildlife encounters, and prepare for CAP social conditionality. Activities focus on co-creation, knowledge sharing, and tailored implementation strategies. Contact: Miriam Acsova, acsova@prounis.sk. Visit www.bioeconomy.sk and www.safehabituseu.
