An evidence-based approach to assessing workload, safety, and sustainability in dairy, beef, and poultry farming across Ireland, France, and Belgium.

or

Detail description

Farmers and livestock breeders face significant stress, workload, and safety challenges across dairy, beef, and poultry sectors in Ireland, France, and Belgium. EU-funded initiatives like SafeHabitus, R4D, and CowForme improve working conditions through cross-border collaboration with INRAE, Newcastle University, and the University of Krakow. Data from 600 farms and 190 dairy operations inform workload standards, while reports from CCMSA and Idélé assess injury risks and social sustainability. Evidence-based strategies reduce stress and enhance safety in agriculture.
