Integrated with GIS and data processing, these tools enhance decision-making for small and medium-sized farms. Case studies from Bulgaria show up to 30% savings in input costs, improved yields through organic amendments and soil treatments, and reduced labor via automated data collection. Applications in grain fields, fallow plots, orchards, vineyards, and alfalfa plantations demonstrate enhanced resource efficiency, reduced pollution, and increased resilience to extreme conditions. Challenges include high initial costs and technical expertise requirements. This practice abstract from the Soil-X-Change project highlights the practical benefits and limitations of remote sensing in precision agriculture.
