Thick vegetation on peat meadow grassland: field effects

A thick layer of a separation layer increases nitrogen utilisation when applied over straw or grass clippings. A two-year field trial in Zeegveld demonstrates improved fertiliser efficiency, reduced greenhouse gas and ammonia emissions, and better agricultural performance. No significant effects on water quality or water regulation were observed.
