31 stakeholders from Friesland’s short food chain network gathered on 17 September at Stadsboerderij De Sibbe near Sneek for a field lab meeting. The group, including farmers, local producers, municipalities, and Maastricht University, aims to strengthen regional food systems through standardized regulations, shared logistics, and ICT platforms. Focus areas include expanding demand, diversifying products like soups and ready meals, improving transparency via QR codes and PGS, and creating urban sales points. The initiative promotes sustainability, affordability, storytelling, and equitable profit distribution, with support from a serious game for education and outreach.
