To provide further incentives for rearing pigs with intact tails, the EU made EIP funding available at the end of 2023. The funding scheme reopened on 19 February 2025. The experiences of the first cohort of participants are still in their early stages. Following the baseline assessment, the real work began for most of them at the end of 2024.
