Groenbemesters pioenteelt in Noord-Brabant

Enhancing soil health and sustainability through innovative green manure solutions in Noord-Brabant

or

Detail description

Green manure trial in North Brabant evaluates Bladrammenas, Gele mosterd, and Bladkool for soil cover, biomass, frost tolerance, root penetration, and erosion control. Part of the POP3 KEV project funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, led by Beeldende Bodem Brabant and Delphy. Results show Bladrammenas excels in multiple performance categories. Tables detail dry matter production (up to 3900 kg/ha), organic substance content (875 kg/ha), and pest resistance. Mixed green manures boost biomass and weed suppression but increase disease and management risks. Guidance tools include the 2003 "Handboek groenbemesters" and "Groenbemester Keuzewijzer" developed with Wageningen University & Research. Emphasis on tailored selection for soil health, pest control, and sustainability in crop rotations.
