Resilient tree nursery for sustainable agriculture

Resilient tree nursery cultivation reduces susceptibility to root-knot nematodes, root-knot nematodes, soil-borne fungi (Phytophthora, Pythium, Rhizoctonia) and fungal infections (Fusarium, Botrytis, powdery mildew and downy mildew). The focus is on soil health through organic matter, pH, structure, soil life and the management of abiotic stress. Green manures such as Japanese oats, Tages tus and leaf radish improve soil structure, stimulate soil life and prevent compaction. Barley grasses improve trafficability and reduce weed growth.
