Lambing in June for optimized grassland use and parasite control

Sustainable grazing and midsummer lambing for healthy flocks and low parasite pressure

or

Detail description

Gunnar and Eva Danielsson manage a 70-hectare sheep farm in Berghult, Småland, Sweden, with 125 ewes. They practice midsummer lambing to optimize pasture quality and control parasites, using extensive semi-natural grasslands for grazing. Their system supports sustainable livestock management, maintains low parasite levels, and complies with agri-environmental regulations. Complementary fodder is provided to ensure adequate nutrition. The farm covers 50 hectares of grazing land and 20 hectares for winter feed production.
