Detail description

Private forest owners in Slovenia lack access to timber volume data, hindering active management. The Di-Gozd Digital Forest Inventory App, funded by the EU EIP-AGRI, offers a web and mobile solution for estimating annual yield and recording tree data via augmented reality. Designed for private owners, it enables parcel-level analysis, volume assessment, and intervention tracking, improving decision-making and sustainable forestry. Developed through a bottom-up approach, the tool integrates existing data and supports remote users. Regional advisory services and the FOREST4EU project promote adoption, with ongoing support critical for scalable, equitable forest management.
