Visual scoring protocol for powdery mildew assessment in strawberry using a five-point scale based on Simpson (1987). Evaluates disease severity on leaves and fruit across replicated plots with multiple observations during the growing season. Recommends use of Area Under the Disease Progress Curve (AUDPC) for non-replicated trials. Standardised method for breeding and crop protection trials.
