Automated Organic Lavender Harvesting Equipment
Automated organic lavender harvesting equipment for improved productivity, quality, and sustainability
or
Detail description
This project develops automated organic lavender harvesting equipment for remote or semi-autonomous operation, reducing costs and improving product quality. Outcomes include increased productivity, enhanced harvester comfort, uniform crop protection, and higher-quality harvested material. The initiative evaluates local and imported lavender varieties under Romanian pedo-climatic conditions to identify the most resilient and productive options. Lavender cultivation also contributes to environmental protection by stabilizing poor, dry, and calcareous soils. Funded by the European Union and available via EU-FarmBook.
